“For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not.” – 2 Corinthians 8:12
There are many challenges in Christian experience. One is keeping the fire burning in the soul. The devil wants to put out the fire, but it is our job to keep this from happening. Are you willing to fight. It is going to take a fight to keep your experience alive.
The same boldness the brethren had in the past is the same boldness we need to have in today’s warfare. We have to exercise ourselves in the Word to get the boldness we need to combat the enemy. This means having a willing mind. Without a willing mind, we will not be able to overcome in the time of trial.
A willing mind will help us in all aspects of our Christian journey, even when confronted with fear. Fear is not of God and will affect of confidence in Him. We cannot win the battle being fearful.
We must seek God for His help in this warfare. He will help us overcome and be victorious.
“Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” – Isaiah 41:10
