We are called to a higher life. We have chosen to forsake sin and live for the Lord. This decision elevates us. We are no longer associated with sin.
It is now our purpose to find out how God wants to use us. We have many talents and skills, and these gifts should be honed for the purpose of building the Kingdom. We need to increase our usefulness before the Lord, so we can be instruments in His hands. Away with being complacent with where we are and what we are currently doing. It is time to do more. God is calling us to higher ground. A sedentary lifestyle is never profitable. We cannot grow in God remaining dormant in the things of God. We can never reach our full potential if we don’t exercise ourselves in spiritual matters.
Studying the life of Christ is important. When we can behave like Christ, we can positively impact the world around us. We must give ourselves to the Word of God so we can be skillful in the things of God.
Take a look around. There are many souls yet in the grip of Satan as we once were. God is depending on us to help others get free from sin’s bondage. We must equip ourselves as the Apostle Paul did. Consecrate ourselves for service in this 21st century.
“If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master’s use, and prepared unto every good work.” – 2 Timothy 2:21
