“Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.” – Matthew 13:44
We are laborers in the vineyard of the Lord and must conduct ourselves in such a manner that pleases God.
It is easy to become careless and not value the experience God has given us. This is detrimental to the soul. We must be careful to cherish the treasure. In the above scripture, the treasure is salvation and the field is the world.
A treasure is something of value that you safeguard and cherish. God paid the greatest price of all so that we could have this treasure. If we don’t value the treasure, we will become careless with it. When this happens, it will be easy to lose the treasure.
How can we allow other things to tarnish this treasure? Or replace it? It is a precious gift from God. He gave His very life, so we can possess it.
Take heed, that you do not become careless and lose out with God.
“And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.” – Revelation 22:1
